Our specialised support includes the following services -
Working with Dementia
New Partnership with Alzheimer’s Society in North Herts/Stevenage
The majority of our staff are specifically trained to work with those with all forms of dementia and take pride in the person centred service we can offer. Working in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society in Hertfordshire we offer a Saturday Social Breaks Service for carers of those with dementia at our Day Centre in Stevenage.
Carers can now be referred for a short break on every alternate Saturday between 10am and 2pm through Alzheimer’s so that Carers can get a break at the weekend to see relatives or go shopping or just have free time to themselves.

End of life support
Our aim is to enable carers to have a life of their own alongside their caring responsibilities.
Our End of Life Carer Support Service provides emotional, practical and psychological support to carers, family and friends and to those living with cancer and other life-limiting conditions in their own homes. Our aims are to:
- help avoid unnecessary and unwanted admissions to hospital or residential care for terminally ill patients who wish to remain at home
- foster in those for whom we care a sense of belonging to the wider community by increasing choice and enhancing quality of life
- promote both patient and carer involvement, ensuring their ideas and opinions form an integral part of the care service.
